Subject: "Good enough" planter for cover crops?

SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass!
Deere 750 probably my weapon of first choice but they are high priced if in decent shape and very high maintaince when run right behind a combine. Also kind of narrow. Great plains folding, can't remember model now, is probably a good fit but they are tough to find with small seed box. Only looking at 600 acres a year so can't spend a whole lot. Would love to hire but no one available and those that have the equipment don't want to do it or rent it out. Don't need perfect seed/soil contact just accurate distribution and sorta in the area seed placement.
