| Looking at buying a 2011 model 2162 draper; I understand it's a MacDon, but never been around one. What should I look for when inspecting it?
I understand there's a piece under the draper that commonly broke, and could be updated to a better design? Where do I look for that?
The steel under the auger, as well as the auger itself, is pretty dinged up. Is this from rocks? Or did something bad happen to it?
Also looking at a 7120 w/ 1100 sep hours. Already has new cone. Rasp bars are getting close. Vertical auger & tank augers have a few years in them yet.
I know the splines on the feeder drive are a common issue; is there a way to rock the drum to check for wear without taking it apart?
What else should I look for?
