I used to have an 8 row 7000 with a splitter. If you drop the planter and splitter at the same time you will over plant the end rows and will leave a gap [splitter rows] when you pick up. I would drop the planter, go, then drop the splitter. Do the opposite on the other end of the field. Hope this makes sense.
That makes sense however I only have two hydraulic remotes and this planter requires three so the planter came with a hydaulic splitter to compensate for that (previous owner had same delima ) so I don't think I can drop the planter then hit the hydraulic splitter and then drop the planter splitter but maybe.. I hope that made sense . |
