Walsingham, Ontario | I am in the process of looking to buy a JD 7200 12R 30. I started out this adventure wanting a 7000 finger but soon realized a vac planter would suit my needs much better. I have found a couple that may work and have some questions.....
Planter #1 is a conservation and has 2 vacuum units on it while planter #2 is not a conservation and has 1 vacuum unit in the center. After that they are pretty much a wash....
Questions I have are... I know the conservation has a heavier frame, but are there other advantages to it?
Is it a benefit or a deterrent to have 2 vac units for 12 rows? Does this require more hydraulics to spin both. Almost all the planters I have looked at have only one.
