Subject: RE: Stalk stomper Poll (which brand)

Fayette Co, Iowa
Lankota, on our third season, about 650 acres a year is all. 608c head (non chopping) If the the stalk is dry, or not tough it lays it down good..... BUT, if you are combining wetter corn, tough stalks, or in damp conditions it will lean it over at a 90.. Just my opinion. Had maywest for 3 years prior, they were decent, but I think lankota is a touch better.
Feeder house speed 575 to 600, and 12-16 inches off the ground in those pictures, corn was 19%, so any faster with the head speed would have caused butt shelling. Normally run head at 500 and ground speed 4.5. 9570sts
