Subject: RE: smaller CaseIH 4WD questions

Strathcona, mn
I have a puma 1000, same as a caseih 9110. Mine is set to 9130 specs. It is one of the handiest tractors on the farm. I have pto and 3pt. My Rowcrop front axle is disabled and pinned straight, has been since I purchased it. We use it for everything from a harrow to sidedressing to running a grain vac. It is every bit as handy as a mfwd. Powershift transmissions are servicable through big tractor parts. The transmission is the same as ache large frames minus a couple of clutch discs. Wheat land special may not have bar axles. I would not own a steiger newer than a series 4 with a manual shift transmission as parts are nearly impossible to source. I wouldn't buy one without a 3pt and pto. I don't use mine for heavy tillage
