| So what does it take to change a trend? The trendsetter has to either change his/her mind or be proven wrong. Our end users are not raking in the profits and there will be no sympathy bid for corn (I just made that up btw) after years of high grain prices causing pain where there is no safety net or a mandate that is constantly up for debate. Given this situation it doesn't take thousands of bankruptcies to make the point, maybe just a few more instances where the banker draws the line. Also consider these are not losses that a decent in town job would eventually cover, unless you score that CEO position.
I'm not gloom and doom, but commodities are what they are and I think anyone who has farmed a little while looks at the high prices of recent as abnormal. The income was nice, but there is the thought that it will eventually all paid back. | |
