We store peanuts up to about 8 months when we do store them ourselves. The moisture content has to be 10 or below and it's better if they are less then 9%. They get stored longer then that in the big peanut warehouses. The holding bin is just to temporary store while you wait on trucks etc. Started treshing yesterday (finally) and loaded out about 7 trucks. Foggy and drizzle this morning. Had a ($1500)gearbox go out on one of the combines. Luckily we had a spare as this is not the first time. So we put my rebuilt special on. I put new seals and bearings in it for less then $200 last year.  Transmission started pouring oil out of a seal on the same combine.
