I'm confused.

I haven't seen anything proposed that would out right ban broadcast fertilizer. Maybe limit to certain times of the year, limited on weather forcast, buffers, only crop removal on high testing soils, etc. Basically it boils down to more paperwork for doing what most of us are already doing.

I think your fears are mostly unfounded. I've heard the chatter. The wildest things always make the headline, but are almost never reality.

Its great to discuss ways to be more efficient with nutrients. I would focus on doing things that are good for your pocketbook and not because you are worried about what might happen. Fear usually leads to bad decisions.
