Because it is another equipment change suppliers are trying to get you to make and many farmers love to change things. I guess I have been around long enough I have seen about every change of equipment . Used to plant beans in 30" rows. Were told you had to drill to get the best yields. Everyone went to drills.....then 15" rows were far superior so now you have to trade again. Now if you read on here 30" do just as good or better. So if you get old enough and keep doing what you are doing.....it will be back in style and won't cost a thing.
