Subject: Indian corn

Coastal South Carolina
Hello to all. I would like some information from anyone who has planted and harvested "Indian corn". I am located in Coastal SC and plan to plant some in a field that had tobacco in it last year. I have a list of questions so here goes:

When planting what spacing did you use on 36" rows?
When planting did you use any insecticide, if so what, what rate, and when? I do not have a high boy.
How did you harvest (I presume by hand)?
What moisture did you harvest?
When do you "shuck it" to display it?
When harvested/shucked do you treat it with anything to keep bugs/weavels out of it?

Thank You for any and all input.

I may have more questions later.
