Texas/New Mexico Stateline | It has been very warm since mid-January here. Record warm the past week or two. It is hard to believe staying above freezing at night and in the mid-70s in the afternoon there is still a few blocks of snow/ice on the north sides of some buildings and in tree-rows left over from the Christmas blizzard.
Wheat is really taking off here as we have good sub-soil moisture and that is NOT good. This happens too many times, gets warm in Feb-March and we get hammered with hard freezes at some point.
