southern MN | Locally the coops have gotten bigger and are laying in big store age buildings to store 6 months worth of fertilizer. The Mississippi River has gotten less reliable as a source to us, and so they need to draw in fert when they can.
The good news is we keep a reliable supply.
The bad news is we get locked into whatever price the fert was, as there really isnt much competition. There are not many suppliers, and transportation is so questionable, it is hardly a market one can play 'here' any more.
