The rumors were correct @ 24 Joe. I'm one of those long time hard core growers. First ran into the ADM guys and very shortly after talked with the Bush people,,, I wanted 24 but figured that was the top top end. I did mention to them the black market was still fairly strong. There was some limited $23's thru Thompson's and a few 22 on different colors floating around but limited. $23 is the high water mark, all other contracts will work off/work down off of that, been this way for quite a few years.

Dry beans followed corn and soybeans up and will/have follow them lower. Also we're still working off of 3 year $34's and a few 3-$30 from one year ago.

Many growers just had to have that dam RMA revenue price to keep up to Jones aka corn/soybeans.
.31 was last spring,,, .20 this fall VERY FEW HAD CLAIMS BTW.
MANY WILL PLANT BEANS TO FARM THAT .31 CARROT and yes without contracts.
Too many beans raised without contracts have always sent the market flushing lower.
LOOK WHERE ITS GOT US,,, NAVIES @ .19**********************************
We are a specialty crop, always have been and always will be.
Price and contracts should dictate planted acres,,,,,, the way its been for years, NOT THE MANY CHOICE WORDS RMA REVENUE BS
We all want to stay completely out of the farm program correct,,, BUT just had to have the Revenue Insurance*********************

On second thought,,, LOOK WHERE ITS GOT CORN....................
