USA | Reason it is poor business to use another person's price and let the old dealer match it is.
1) They more than likely won't give you a bid in the future, when they figure out you are going to let your old dealer match it and retain your business.
2) Always figured if somebody quoted me X price and then lowered it later when they found out if they didn't they was going to loose the business. Instead of giving me the best price from the get go, they were trying to screw me if they were charging more than was needed to make the deal.
3) I am on both sides of the fence . I sell chemicals, have one price for everybody, whether they farm 500 or 5000 acres. Price is as slim as I can make, there is no room to deal.. If it's too high and a person can buy it cheaper else where fine with, I am offering the best I can do from the get go. | |
