Nebraska aka the boondocks | This is the tax me state, never have understood, either because we have no natural resources or have no idea how to spend money. I do know Dawson county is a welfare bonanza, not sure why on that either. I do believe Nebraska is going to raise the cigarette tax over a $1 per pack and the gas tax is going up. The low hanging fruit is about to pull the tree over.
Edit, I am almost certain that not all the gas tax goes to roads
