What concerns me is that a continuous distorts the shape of this down trend in lower section so much as to make EW analysis void for the section form October 2, 2015 until the present. I use continuous charts but disregard the last portions in favor of a regular chart. Comments.

Thanks for posting. For me, I have found the continuous always is relevant. It controls all the defers and the deferreds spreads are reacting to the energy transfer occuring. I know very little about EW, but in my world, when something is "void", it is a red flashing light staring me in the face stating that I am trying to frame the market to my bias and not listenening to the market itself. And those times never work out in my favor til I quit framing a bias. You and EW maybe completely different though.
