Jon, I think you are painting what I said with a pretty broad brush.....sounds like you are indicating I am yelling fire in a crowded theater.....

if you go back and read it again, you will notice I said "IF you have to move corn in the next 30-60 days"

heck, I will pay a much 8 cents more for May corn than first of March, so the opportunities are pretty immediate...but most bid structures are going to be pretty careful about those mid to late summer basis levels in Iowa

why?? Because Iowa grew a 2.505 byn corn crop......and that is a lot different animal to work with than the 580 myn you folks grew in Kansas where you have all that extra space to work with.....many Iowa farmers do not have the luxury of carrying 25-50% of a year's crop over to the next marketing cycle....
