That's a fair enough point. I'm not familiar with his post history.
The general rule of thumb is to apply a little math to the rate table for finger pickup units when using brush meters on other planters. 60 cell is 5x FPU population, 30 cell would be 2.5x. Determining whether the available seed transmission options can reach the desired population with a specific plate would still be a valid concern.
