I was reading something about the two length's of bolts, but I looked at most of my takeout bolts and I think they are all the same length.
Seams like I read somewhere that the early model 5.3's used the two short bolts in #9 and # 10 position. You think maybe on the cast iron block versions?
I will be sure and check all my old bolts tomorrow. The bolts i bought are GM part #'s and the M11's are all the same length. 
I didn't think about the studs until after I had already ordered the parts.
