When scrap was high, there were rows of Perkins 6-354 engines sitting at the scrap yard. Pretty good engine. 750 Massey had turbo so upper end of your power range. An online auction that I was watching had a Perkins and another engine on a pallet for a bit over $100. Condition was chopped out of combine. Even use belt tightener clutch from combine to make PTO speed.
