20 Miles West of Indianapolis Indiana | How much is the burn down bill vs the tillage?
I'm somewhat of a hypocrite. I love the look of beans (especially 30" beans) planted into worked ground. But I don't see a yield advantage to them here. Add in the likely possibility of erosion in worked stalk ground vs no tilled and I don't mind a burn down bill.
In your area, do you have tall water hemp?
I'll work some stalks every year for corn on corn, and then another farm in case I want to do another CoC field. That will usually end up being worked bean ground. They look beautiful, but yield is same as notill. Anyways... Not meant to be an anti fall tillage post, just trying to add something to the conversation |
