East Central SD | Just free this month then 3 cents a month. It's also not easy to do a basis contract with them. Corn has to be priced before delivery. Is that common? Seems the only way to make it work is to just sell cash and buy back the board. I am actually a member and they are pretty close but don't sell them much (they even pay a dime trucking) but too many people just give their corn away to these guys. They must offer some better pricing to the commercials than what they have posted but I sure don't have any luck selling to them even when selling in larger increments.
Basis sat at -37 for over a week before they offered the free DP. I didn't catch what day the basis moved but it is -46 now. I suppose the thought of free DP got some guys to lock in basis and that is the reason it moved but I would still say the odds are better guys just started delivering on DP. | |
