Does anyone know if any of the various yield monitors log their data in manner other than by some number of seconds? Seems like many seem to log a yield value every 1 or 2 seconds. I'm assuming this is a setting in the various yield monitors but maybe not? Do any of them allow you to log at a specified distance rather than by the second?
As I recall the early Ag Leader units allowed the user to set the logging interval at 1, 2, or 3 seconds. I'm thinking the longer time intervals were an attempt to reduce the data and file size which was important in the early days. I don't recall any option to base the logging interval on distance. Other than reducing the data points, I'm not sure why this would be desirable.
I don't recall anywhere where the user can change this interval on the more recent Ag Leader displays now that the file size isn't so critical. I don't know how other brands handle this situation but I would guess they are based on time as well.
