I've used Digi, Satel, and Freewave. They all work. If you're goal is to maximize distance, Satel due to the 450 MHz band. If your goal is cheap, Digi. If your goal is compatibility with other Freewave radios, then get a Freewave. If you need to be compatible with Trimble stuff, then you need a Trimble (Pacific Crest?) radio.
