| I'm ired of everything being blamed on farmers. Most nutrients applied to farmland go through a buffer buffer waterway/woods/grass etc before hitting tributaries. The only farmers that over apply nutrients are CAFOs that don't have enough ground.
In my state there are multi million gallon sewerage spills on a regular basis.
There are more acres of yard than farmland and none of them respect set backs. They over apply n and p from early spring to early winter and it goes right into storm drains or streams/rivers.
There are more pounds of deer and geese than livestock yet all the DNR wants to do is maintain and increase the herd size.
They should clean up their act before hindering Ag with bs regulations that for the most part aren't needed. | |
