| This is an interesting conversation.
I am a male but I've also pondered this (in response to the theory/law of "needing two incomes to survive"), if you removed one family member (be it male or female) from the American workforce for each "family unit" in which both individuals are currently employed, what would be the subsequent effect on the total pool of US labor and thus, the average wage per worker?
This all comes from my random thoughts over the years regarding demographics of the world. Oh, and my book recommendation for the day is: What to Expect When No One's Expecting: America's Coming Demographic Disaster
I found it very interesting to say the least.
