yes sir get it now! Best thing to do is dig it up ALL the roots. Some guys have tried putting strait roundup on the stem after the plant was cut off. That doesn't work either. Comes back. Cut it off an the middle of the root is hollow but grows back from the outer rim. Not just a freak thing. Have had two guys tell me that have tried it.
