Ok thanks. I'll run that by him and let him know to check his ph. I know he hasn't applied any lime since I don't know when. Like 20 yrs or more. Been a long time


I may have told him wrong but I said that potash helps the plant uptake nutrients it needs and causes the plant to not use as much water as it would if you didn't. Said maybe your fertility is off and not letting the weeds take in the chemicals and atrizine to work right. But I guess it's more in line with the ph then.


While riding in his combine the spots where his corn looked good the monitor would go up to 190-220 bu. then very shortly the corn would be very short, brittle stalks, tops falling over, ears with small grain in em like baby teeth lol and of course in these areas weeds are everywhere and grass.

Was having to run the points on the ground to just grab the ears and sometimes was shelling half the ear in two.

It would drive me nuts running like that.
