Subject: RE: 4640 lopes under PTO load

central mn
it was a different pump and I've used the shop before with good luck. Its more of a governor lope, might lope alittle at idle if you don't idle it up some. the reason i'm worried about this is, before I split the tractor it would only do this on the bale processor, baler or grain cart never made it do this, then when I split it the clutch disk was about ready to come apart, I figured it was from hammereing when the pto slipped as it was leaking oil from transmission input shaft seal. After I fixed it this spring it ran good for few days and began to hunt going down road at wide open, so replaced injectors and pump. Then ran great, haven't used pto til yesterday and noticed it does it again at wide open, Tach jumps around a lot so, i'm gonna get a new cable and see what its actually running for rpms. Do you think it could be the pto slipping under load? I run the bale processor with a 4440 also and that tractor doesn't do this. Thanks
