Use the Purdue custom rate survey. We use it a lot to settle up on swapping back and forth. Labor & insurance is figured into that so you should be accounting for either paying yourself or dad/brother with that number.

It seems like for 28 acres you have too much invested in equipment already. I would be careful buying more unless you have more ground lined up. It is easy to overspend on iron whether it's 28 acres or 2800 acres. I would seriously look at what your investment in equipment is returning you vs what it would cost to hire somebody outside your operation to do the job. If your not getting paid for your labor and investment, it is a hobby. The way I read your post, you are looking to grow your business, so sometimes you have to do the not fun, but business wise option. You will always make more operating the calculator than the tractor imo.
