north central il
Just getting in from mowing field edges and waterways. Saw a total of ten rootworms beetles today. What the heck. I have a border with one neighbor that is solid horseweeds and normally my tractor is covered. We have 6488 Agrigold which is a vt2 and their are zero of the beetle buggers. Going to to think long and hard for our seed decisions next year. Always been about yield and what is left in your pocket in the end. This coming buying season is going to get interesting. Not seeing many Japanese beetles either.
Edit. This is the second year with hardly a bug to be seen.
