NE ND | Spent a few days in IL this last week, mainly in the NW and west central areas. Went as far south as halfway between Peoria & Springfield and wiggled straight north and then over towards Dubuque. Everything I saw looked tremendous on my 500 miles of travel, with only about 5-6 fields with any sort of drowned areas. Granted most of this is pretty hilly ground, but from all the hype on here about the "IL crop disaster" I had imagined it would look a lot more like a "disaster". I'm sure there are many areas with damage to the east, but after seeing these horrible crops, I'm even more bearish on the market. | |
