South East SD
LV formulations or Ester are more susceptible to volatilization especially in temperatures at 80 degrees and above due to being a more oil based carrier of the 2,4-D molecule (hence why it turns white in water like crop oil) Amine is a more salt based formulation (hence why it doesn't turn white in water) and is less likely to volatilize as quick, however it does persist longer in the soil and like said before works slower.
