Western OK | how much is the doublestop seed this year?
we have used Clearfield before with mixed results. both times were with ap503cl2. we only sprayed once and that was in the spring. first year it worked pretty good, so we planted it back on the same ground for the second year. well the second year it was so dry I don't think the rye came out till the end of march( after we sprayed). so after that we quit it. it worked better on cheat and jointgrass than the rye.
we still have fields that need cleaned up and we were looking at trying it again, but im not sure with the current price of wheat if it will pencil out, if I recall the elevator charged like 26-28 bucks an acre for one round. im just wondering if it might be cheaper to lay it out for an early summer crop like milo instead of spending that much money on wheat. what are you guys thoughts?
