| You make a great point. Two years ago that was how the experts in my area tried to explain the tipback. So far much wetter this year (15 inches in June) and a very overcast summer. We have had corn tasseling since June 25 and are seeing some extremely long silks. The other problem is the variability not only from one end of the field to the other end, but from one row to the one right beside it. We have corn that has been tasseled for a week in the same field as corn that was stunted even before all the rain and still looks to be a week away. It is going to be an odd year in the combine harvesting that type of corn. | |
