$50!! Id let the field ground grow up in tall waterhemp and weeds then spray it before it seeds out with lv6 and rup before id spend $50/acre on cover crop seed and $15 on drilling it.
Conv beans at 70k pop would be cost effective.
The pp payment is prob $80-220 after premium taken out on beans. So guys can only budget $7-15/acre on a cover and $30 if they can graze it IMO.
I'm all for selling seed but I want guys to stay in business as it's easier to keep a customer then to find a new one to replace him next year. |
