Subject: Ragweed in new seeding of alfalfa

SW WI
I direct seeded ( no oats or other cover crop ) some alfalfa this spring and I probably wasn't planning ahead to well but I didn't use RR alfalfa. This turns out to be a field that has broken with ragweed. I took a cutting off on the weekend but am wondering how to control this the rest of the year let alone for the next few years. Any chemical that won't hurt the alfalfa but kill the ragweed? I suppose another option is to kill off what I have and this time use RR alfalfa but hopefully I don't have to start over like that.
