Subject: Mississippi River levels??

Decaturville TN
I just learned that the Tennessee River will start covering my lowest soybean fields in a couple days and a crest is not predicted yet. The reason, as many times in the past is not the rain we have received here but, holding water back to help the flow into the Mississippi River. For you guys along the Mississippi River... How high is your river? This exact thing happened a couple years ago starting July 4th and killed about a fourth of my bean crop. We actually needed rain that year and didn't get anything but River water. I replanted most of it on July 30 th and averaged 31 bu on those acres. It's been a rough year here already with quite a bit of replanting for me. Depressing to see beans go under water this late in the season and nothing you can do about it. Rick
