I'll be running a 40' bar and 40' planter ran off RTK so that won't be an issue. We really don't like to strip in the spring, we run strip everything in the fall. I planted on some strip this spring I made last fall and it planted perfect, couldn't be any better.
We run john deere's glorified disk, what they call their vertical tillage, over corn stalk and plant into it on the rolling ground. I just figure it helps chop the stalks a bit more and open the ground a bit. We don't have a chopping head right now but we will in the future. It just seems like a pass after the combine really finishes the field for the planter next spring, idk maybe thats just me.
