Spring strip till between the rows. Keep the residue above ground to keep your carbon to nitrogen ratio low to utilize more of your applied N. Put some fertilizer down while strip tilling. Do not disturb the root ball as that is where you will get allot of nutrients from. Depending on your planter attachments and NH3 tool bar you could use the tool bar to strip in some NH3 and then come back and plant into those strips. You will need aggressive row cleaners and good row units on the planter.
