What kind of bar are you running? My only concern is making sure guess rows line up if bar and planter are different sizes. Other than that if you can keep the rows a little clean being as its lighter dirt and probably less residue I honestly would strip it then leave it. Money saved on excelerator pass and not creating compaction from that tool.(just sold our excel)
