If its all leaf damage it will come back as long as growing point in the stalk isn't broke off new leaves will soon emerge. Also hopefully the new leaves can emerge thru the hail damage leaves. Hard to know without a picture.
Edit to add: Unfortunely don't be surprised if it ends up full of smut.
