Subject: RE: Seed Tender

You have to make a decision on bulk or box before you can decide on much else. We sell both and move about 15 box tenders to 1 buk. A simple 2 box Travis for under $10,000 can put many people in business. In fact we sell about 20-25 2-box Travis's per year and it's our #1 seller. Some people plant so many beans that a $25,000 J&M Speedtender is best. No set rule for anybody.

We also sell seed and for comparison sake we let a customer use a 2-box Travis last year and this year they had more beans so we let them use a Meridian bulk tender. They much preferred the Travis box tender with hydraulic drive for ease of start/stop vs. belt drive for filling individual boxes. One big thing to consider when you are buying is the drive system. Hyd. is much more easy to start/stop whether it's a belt model or poly cup.
