Pilot Grove, Missouri | Pan will not come off with the engine in the vehicle. If you are just replacing the oil pan gasket it can be done with the engine still in the van. Have to hack the engine up as far as possible. Unbolt the oil pan, drop it down and remove the old gasket. Then snake the new gasket down into the pan and around the oil pump pickup tube. It is also a huge help to have the plastic gasket holders (supplied with a Fel-pro gasket) to hold the gasket in position while putting the pan back up and getting the bolts started. Patrick | |
