dublin8300 - 4/26/2015 16:17 but then I have trouble keep tip correct distance off metal. You mean the correct distance away from the straight edge ? not the tip actually off the surface being cut correct ? I just use a thin aluminum yardstick for a guide clamp it on what I am cutting and space it over just enough to get the right dimension on the final cut. Torch tip drags on the surface being cut and against the straight edge. The straight edge cannot be very thick as the protruding part of the torch does not stick out much. I've got the same Hypertherm 45 and like it a lot. Think it would be neat to set it up on a 2x2 or 2x4 Torchmate CNC controlled table |
