I will be plugging into the bottom serial port of the 600. Does this change the cabling you suggested?

Will I have to calibrate the accu rate first and then use the 600 or just hook it to the accu rate and calibrate the 600?

Thanks
Ben

No change in cabling. The 600 serial port is not grounded; plugging directly into the serial port with a serial cable might work, but for best results/reliability, a grounded RS232 connection is recommended. The CNH cable provides the data ground.

You should be able to do the calibrations either way. There is no calibration screen in the Pro 600, so you could run the calibration through the 600, but you'd have to enter the calibration values directly on the AccuRate box once the calibration is complete. Doing the calibrations first, without the Pro 600 hooked up, would probably be just as easy. The 600 is just sending rate and section commands to the AccuRate box, so the AccuRate unit is still directly responsible for all product control.
