CENTRAL ILLINIOS | The distribution and transportation system is full all the way down to the gulf. The reason the price is dropping there is the boats are still coming in but no place to unload so they are being diverted to Tampa where the price is dropping even more. They are spreading NH3 in Missouri this week (see Machinery Talk) so that will help spread out the season. Ammonia prices are somewhat like the grains in that they are supply and demand driven, and at least in the short run cost of production is irrelevant until it impacts supply. | |
