Coles County, Illinois | I found a direct correlation between my lower yielding areas and nutrient imbalance as reported by the grid samples. While my higher yielding areas still needed fertilizer, the fertilizer requirements were balanced. These areas needed both P&K. However the biggest bang for the buck was in the areas that one of the nutrients was holding back the soil's potential. These were fields where I'm the third generation farming it. Like I stated in the OP, no absolute highest yield record was set this year. There just wasn't any areas pulling the averages down. | |
