Are you up to date on your tetanus shot? I've heard of people getting it trying to tube an animal just like you did.
Something to watch for in the rest of your calves is a third eyelid coming across the eye horizontally. That is the very first sign that you definitely have tetanus and is an easy cure then. When they stagger its about a 90% chance of death.
